Local Tide - Restaurant

We partnered with local chef Victor Stein to build ‘Local Tide’—a casual seafood restaurant located in the heart of Fremont.

What began as an empty space has been transformed into a vibrant seafood restaurant that captures the essence of coastal dining in the heart of a lively neighborhood. The open design creates a welcoming atmosphere, with large windows bringing in natural light and connecting the interior to the energy of the streetscape.

This build-out included a complete interior overhaul, featuring a modern open kitchen as the focal point, complete with a custom seafood bar where guests can enjoy the artistry of freshly prepared dishes. High-quality finishes, nautical-inspired details, and warm, ambient lighting come together to create a space that is both stylish and inviting.

To meet the demands of a busy commercial kitchen, the project incorporated essential elements like a high-capacity grease trap, durable FRP paneling for easy cleaning, and a code-compliant exhaust hood system with a make-up air unit for ventilation. Behind the scenes, reinforced flooring was installed to support heavy equipment, while strategically placed walk-in coolers ensure efficient workflow. This attention to functional design complements the aesthetic elements, resulting in a restaurant that is both operationally efficient and visually striking.

The result is a thoughtfully designed space that balances a relaxed coastal vibe with the dynamic spirit of its urban surroundings, making it a favorite destination for seafood lovers and neighborhood patrons alike.
